First day of school books have their place。 And this is a fine book for that。 It's cute and it has nice art。 And it's not all that predictable or repetitive。 But it really does nothing for me。 It's not something I'd want to read over and over again。 First day of school books have their place。 And this is a fine book for that。 It's cute and it has nice art。 And it's not all that predictable or repetitive。 But it really does nothing for me。 It's not something I'd want to read over and over again。 。。。more

This book is about Llama Llama having a hard time on his first day of school。 Llama Llama didn't want to do anything with other children at first because he missed his mom but when the teacher reassured him his mom is coming back for him。 he was able to calm down and have fun with his friends。 This is a great book to sit down and read on your first day of school。 This book is about Llama Llama having a hard time on his first day of school。 Llama Llama didn't want to do anything with other children at first because he missed his mom but when the teacher reassured him his mom is coming back for him。 he was able to calm down and have fun with his friends。 This is a great book to sit down and read on your first day of school。 。。。more

I think this is a great book for students when they first start school。 I think the students will be able to relate to this book。 It teaches them that school is a safe and fun place。 A lot of kids might be nervous when they start school so this is a perfect story for those kids! This book also had great pictures and over all a great simple story!!

K-1st fiction Another great Llama book to read to children who may be in school for the first time。 A good lesson for children who are in a school setting or daycare and miss their mom, makes them feel like they are not alone in their feelings。

The Llama Llama books are a WONDERFUL series for your very young readers up through preschool age。 After preschool age, these are great books for your beginning reader to start to read out loud。 The rhyming text and beautiful illustrations make this a fun book to read。 And as a parent, I appreciate that Dewdney also includes a wonderful message and/or learning moment for your reader。Misses Mama is wonderful book to add to your child's reading list before they start daycare or school。 The message The Llama Llama books are a WONDERFUL series for your very young readers up through preschool age。 After preschool age, these are great books for your beginning reader to start to read out loud。 The rhyming text and beautiful illustrations make this a fun book to read。 And as a parent, I appreciate that Dewdney also includes a wonderful message and/or learning moment for your reader。Misses Mama is wonderful book to add to your child's reading list before they start daycare or school。 The message, it's okay to miss mama but it's also okay to have fun while she is gone, is spot on。 And of course mama will always come back。 。。。more

Poor Llama。 It's hard to do new things, especially without Mama。 Separation anxiety was never a big issue for us (at least not TJ, we'll see how AJ does when it's her turn) but he enjoys the story。 Poor Llama。 It's hard to do new things, especially without Mama。 Separation anxiety was never a big issue for us (at least not TJ, we'll see how AJ does when it's her turn) but he enjoys the story。 。。。more

These books are lovely to read! I’m a preschool teacher and I read these books every day with my kids。 This book is a good one to read at the beginning of the school year when many kids are having a tough time being away from mom and dad。 My kids ask to read Llama Llama all the time!

IUS F19 ERIC WISE

A good book for kids because they can relate to what the llama is going through or can use what they learn from the book to what they are facing。
